It's been a long time since last I spoke with you, or most of you anyway.  Nice to have this chance to get reacquainted.  Bar Harbor at this time of the year is really bustling and if your heading this way I've listed below the places you can find me.  My sons, Anthony and Ramsey are quoted and I have some news on my website.  If this correspondence is a nuisance, drop me an E-mail telling me to leave you alone.  Or a letter.  Or whatever.

Ramsey, Anthony and I have been hiking and discovering caves on the rocky coast lately.  It's like we're on a mission to find caves.  I don't really care about them but Anthony and Ramsey seem to think that they are the most incredible things.  They just crawl right in to what ever formation appears to be a cave and say "I can lay right here, and here is my pillow, and my feet go right here, come on in, Daddy."

Soon, before the END OF Summer, I will be releasing my new Kids Collection of tunes.  It'll have many of the staples like;  I'm A Little Teapot,   The Wheels On The Bus, Old Mac etc. plus Puff, Oh Suzanna and some originals and a lot more!  You will be able to preview some of it at www.johntercyak.com.  You can still purchase "Someone You Don't Know" and  "Celtic In The Courtyard" CD - $15 or Cass. - $10 plus $2 S+H per order.

This past year I have started playing in schools in Maine.  For assembly, I perform an Anthology of Fiddle Styles during which I describe fiddle styles and techniques and then play an example of each, I finish with a couple of tunes on the Guitar and Vocals that the kids really dig.  Then I'll do a small group of guitar students to address any issues that they want to discuss, or a pre-determined topic.  We'll work on a tune or two and/or listening techniques.  Have your school music department get in touch if they're interested in a program like this.  I have a promo package that I can send to whomever might inquire.  I also have a page on my website; "School Programs".
